You’ll have to excuse my lameness for copy/pasting someone’s facebook status, but this was taken from my brother’s wall and is just one of the many reasons why he is and always be my hero.  Fuck cancer.

“Played basketball for the first time in 4 yrs. It was a month before my cancer diagnosis that I last played. I always wondered if I would be able to play competitive bball again and knew I would have to work hard if I was going re-train my body for the physicality of hoops. Damn, it felt good to be out there again and know that no one on the court would have ever guessed what I’ve gone through to beat stage IV cancer. In other words, I held my own and look forward to continuing to push myself.”
